The Scout Group was founded in 1916 (just nine years after the beginning of the Scouting movement) by John Dean. Today we are still a strong group and active member of the local community with a section night for Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts and even Explorer Scouts (there is also a district Network Scouts section who meet locally on Mondays). 5th Brownie Pack2nd GuidesMums & TotsMums' and Tots' meets weekly between 9.00 and 11.00am on Tuesdays during term-time in the Church Room. St Mary's SchoolSt. Mary's Church of England School (next door to the church) has school assembles in church on Wednesday and Thursday mornings during term-time, in which the clergy and members of the congregation are involved. We have very close link with St. Mary's school and are developing links with other schools in the area.
